Menu-Driven Probe Functions
The following probe functions are available through menu screens on many Tektronix oscilloscopes. An MSO/DPO4000 series
oscilloscope is used in these examples.
Fine Scale. This feature allows you to
adjust the vertical mA/div setting to a custom
scale that is between the
fi xed 1–2–5 scales
on many oscilloscopes.
For example, to display a 320 mA signal over
exactly 8 vertical divisions (40 mA/div),
fi rst
set the fi xed scale to 50 mA/div. Next, select
Fine Scale from the lower-bezel menu and
then use the Multipurpose knob to adjust the
Fine Scale down to 40 mA/div, as displayed
on-screen.
Offset and Position. Each of these
selections allow you to adjust that parameter
and to return the value to zero by pressing
a side-bezel button.
