Print-quality modes
Standard
The default setting, at 600 x 600 dpi, bi-level. This is the best
general-purpose mode for full color printing. This selection produces about
1.8 pages per minute, depending on the size and complexity of the image.
You can get faster throughput with more memory loaded.
Enhanced
This mode produces the highest quality color prints at
600 x 600 dpi, continuous tone. It provides more detail and clarity in
scanned images and prints about 1.8 pages per minute. This print-quality
mode requires an additional 16 Mbytes of RAM be installed (for a total of
36 Mbytes).
Fast
This mode produces the fastest output at 300 x 300 dpi,
continuous-tone: 3.5 pages per minute. When printing raster image data
(photographic-quality or continuous-tone), this mode provides excellent
output with finer color gradation than Standard mode.
Note
If you select
Enhanced mode but do not have the required
36 Mbytes of memory installed (1 SIMM), the output matches
Standard mode. You must have the additional memory installed
to achieve the
Enhanced mode output quality.
