Installation Options
After the AD007 GPIB-LAN Adapter is set up on the network and
connected to the GPIB you may proceed with either one, or both, of
the following installation options:
H Enable direct GPIB-to-network printing. Proceed to Operating
Basics section that begins on page 39 and access the Printer Setup
web page.
H Enable full GPIB-LAN communication. Proceed to the next
section, Installing the Software.
Installing the Software
The AD007 software consists of a set of support applications for
GPIB and VXI-11 communications. Except for direct GPIB-to-net-
work printing, all applications that communicate over the network to
the AD007 adapter must use the Tektronix version of VISA that
installs with the AD007 GPIB-LAN Adapter. For example, Tektronix
WaveStar for Oscilloscopes must use the Tektronix VISA that is
included as part of the AD007 software installation.
Software installation is allowed on any number of PCs.
NOTE
. Do not install this software if you do not intend to overwrite
your present VISA. The program will detect any previous versions of
VISA and ask to overwrite any that exist.
To begin the software installation, insert the installation disk into the
CD ROM drive. If the install menu does not appear, you can open the
install menu with the following steps:
