WaveStar for Oscilloscopes
The AD007 adapter together with the optional WaveStar for
Oscilloscopes software provides a complete solution for users with
Tektronix TDS Series oscilloscopes. The software provides a
powerful, easy-to-use interface for controlling instruments,
displaying data and waveforms, and sending print jobs to any local or
network printer. (A network PC running Windows 95 or
Windows NT 4.0 is required.)
A free 30-day demo of WaveStar for Oscilloscopes is included on the
installation CD.
Tektronix VISA and VISA Configuration Utility
The VISA standard, developed by the VXIplug&play Systems
Alliance, provides a common Input/Output (I/O) library for software
developers so that software from different vendors can run on the
same platform.
Except for direct GPIB-to-network printing, all applications that
communicate over the network to the AD007 adapter must use the
Tektronix version of VISA that installs with the software for the
AD007 adapter. For example, Tektronix WaveStar for Oscilloscopes
must use the VISA that installs with the AD007 software.
The software installation for the AD007 GPIB-LAN Adapter
includes a utility to help you configure the Virtual Instrument
Software Architecture (VISA) resources. The VISA configuration
utility allows you to add or remove remote hosts (such as one or
more AD007 adapters) along and their associated GPIB interfaces.
