PROBLEMS, CAUSES AND REMEDIES
- If it is not possible to restore the correct operation of the valve following the instructions given in the table below,
consult a skilled technician.
Problem
Probable cause
Remedy
When the electrical circuit is
powered, the valve does not
work.
Electricity is not reaching the motor.
Make sure the plug is fitted properly in
the connector.
Make sure the control panel in use is
working correctly.
The protection fuse of the electrical
circuit has blown.
Check the condition of the fuse and
replace it if necessary.
The valve works but there is no
pressure in the hydraulic circuit.
The hydraulic inlet pipe is obstructed.
Check if the inlet pipe is clear. If
present, clean the inlet filter carefully.
Maximum pressure too low.
Increase the maximum pressure, by
turning the pressure adjustment knob.
VOLUMETRIC valve open (if installed
in circuit)
Use dedicated switch on the electrical
control panel to increase the pressure.
Pressure of delivery liquid too low
Check if the delivery pump is working
efficiently.
Nozzle cross section too large or
nozzles too noisy.
Check if the flow rate of all the utilities
complies with the technical data of the
operating machine.
Compensation cocks of the cut-off
valves completely open
Shut-off the compensation cocks
Dripping in the hydraulic
connection points
Blocking fork of fittings not inserted
correctly.
Insert the blocking fork correctly.
FIRST PART
UNPACKING
The valve is supplied ready for installation. Make sure the
valve is complete and intact.
INSTALLATION
The valve is to be installed upstream from the cut-off valves
to be controlled.
All the accessories mentioned hereafter and required
to install the valves correctly are to be ordered
separately with reference to the product catalogue
of Geoline.
The choice of the inlet/outlet/discharge fittings is to be
made based on the flow rate at which the equipment on
which the valve is installed must work. The complete range
of these fittings is given in the product catalogue of Geoline.
ATTACHMENT
Secure the general valve using the dedicated holes in the
attachment brackets.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (FIG. 5)
- Make sure the supply from the electrical system complies
with the values stated in the TECHNICAL DATA table.
Voltages that vary from this range could cause problems
and could damage the electrical circuit.
- Protect the electrical supply circuit by means of a suit-
able fuse.
- The electrical connection must be made in accordance
with regulations in force in the country in which the valve
is used.
- When the battery is flat and the alternator is worn, there
may be peaks in the voltage that could cause damage to
the electrical circuit. Always keep the state of the battery
and the alternator under control.
- Remove the connection pin protection cap.
- Ensure the plug on the power supply cable is fitted with
a sleeve and insert it in the motor socket (fig.5).
- The minimum cross section of the valve cables must
be 0,75 mm².
