4.5.9 Breaking the Thermal Interface Material
Put PHM on the flat table.
Locate TIM2 breaker and insert the flathead tip of screw driver into TIM2 breaker. TIM2 breaker is located at the
opposite side of Pin 1 indicator.
Gently hold PHM down with one hand and rotate the screw driver using other hand to break TIM2.
NOTE: Tip of screw driver contacts with IHS, not substrate.
