“P3” (Reduced start point height, pre-crimp holding point and lowest
end position)
With this program-type the crimp cycle between the upper reduced start point height and
lowest end position is interrupted by a pre-crimp holding point. The pre-crimp holding point
is used to keep the terminal into the right position to facilitate the insertion of the wire before
the crimping process is executed (reduced start point see above).
The crimp cylinder travels from the upper reduced start point height to the pre-crimp holding
point (Split-Cycle-Position). After having activated the foot switch again the crimp stroke to
the lowest, programmed end position (crimp end position) and back again to the reduced
start point height is executed.
Three points need to be programmed, firstly the reduced start point height, secondly the
pre-crimp holding point thirdly the lowest end position (crimp end position).
