10.1.7 Height setting (closing dimension)
Scroll through the program menu until you see the
display, press the acknowledgement key 2x to
enter the height setting with the arrow keys. Now
press the acknowledgement key 1x.
The arrow UP/DOWN keys used to set the height
activate the movement of the crimp head.
CAUTION!
Ensure the crimp head can approach the respective positions without endangering
persons or tools.
Programming the height setting (1., 2., 3.):
To program the height setting for the various crimp
types the menu must be selected for each
component to be specified (1., 2., 3.). Press the
acknowledgement
key
2x
to
select
the
corresponding value and save the setting by
pressing the acknowledgement key 1x.
If the dies strike each other when you set the crimp
height the noise of the hydraulic pump will change
with the greater load. This is normal and does not
constitute a malfunction.
Program P1. Only the crimp limit position needs
to be set.
Program P2. The reduced starting height and
the crimp limit position need to be
set.
Program P3.
The reduced starting height, the
contact hold point and the crimp
limit position need to be set.
NOTE:
Depending on the program type selected, the required parameters are displayed and
stored automatically by the menu. When all the items have been set, press the reset
button to terminate programming. The set program can now be tested through a trial
run.
