4.1
Correct use
The HV crimping machine with P/N 528008-4 is designed to accept the crimping tools shown below. The
HV crimping machine must only be equipped and operated with these crimping tools specified by TE
Connectivity.
Refer to the TE Connectivity processing specifications for contact component preparation and the wires to
be used.

Foreseeable incorrect application

All applications apart from those mentioned in Section 4.1 "Correct Use".

The HV crimping machine is operated with a hydraulic unit. No other hydraulic unit may be used
apart from the one supplied. The hydraulic unit must only be used with the HV crimping machine.
4.3
Areas of responsibility
The owner of the HV crimping machine is responsible for ensuring that all persons involved in the
installation or maintenance of the machine have been fully instructed on the basis of the attached
operating instructions.
The owner of the HV crimping machine is also responsible for training operating personnel, and this
training must include the following:
- Intended purpose of the machine
- Hazardous area
- Safety regulations
- Function of the various machine parts
- Machine operation
To ensure that the instructions on machine operation have been understood, the training must be carried
out in the language of the operating personnel.
Necessary qualifications of personnel involved in operating the HV crimping machine:
Assembly
Commissioning
Instruction
Technical experts who speak German, English and the language of the operating
personnel.
Operation
Qualified personnel, trained by technical experts
Maintenance
Service
Technical experts who speak German or English.
The safety regulations and the instructions contained in the various sections must be observed by the
owner and users.
