Row units pressure and gauge wheels adjustment
Adjustments and operations
NOTE
For a better oscillation of the row units during the crop and to reduce the slippage
index of the gauge wheels, use the adjustment on the rods with springs (A). To do so,
apply pressure to the springs using the cotter pins (B).
As an starting point, we suggest to use the second hole on the rod (A),
which may be adjusted depending on the local conditions.
This adjustment induce the plants emergence, so it must be properly
controlled.
Greater or lesser pressure on the row units increase or decrease the slippage
index of the gauge wheels.
Depth and coverage of the seeds
The seeds depth is adjusted by the rod (C) when changing the cotter pin (D) position.
This adjustment determines the working depth of the double discs (E).
The seed coverage is done using the gauge wheels (iron or rubber), with the aid of
the covering discs (F). These discs have distance and angle adjustments that relates to
the double disc, therefore throwing more or less earth over the seeds.
