LOAD CONSCIOUS PRESSURE REDUCING VALVE (LCRV)

LOAD CONSCIOUS PRESSURE
REDUCING VALVE (LCRV)

A LCRV is required in the brake
system during severe braking.
That time, most of the car weight
is transferred to the front, and the
front brakes do most of the
braking. The rear wheels are left
with but little traction and in this
condition, under high pressure,
they have a tendency to skid.

The valve is installed in the line to
the rear brake drum. During heavy
braking the valves limits the
pressure to the rear wheels & this
allows rear wheels to keep turning
instead of locking up and skidding.

If any alteration is done in Rear
suspension the performance of
this valve will be impaired.

The valve stem gap should be
adjusted whenever rear spring is
changed.
