Using the built-in speaker
Set the
SPEAKER
switch on the bottom panel to ON to listen to playback with
the built-in speaker.
NOTE
When set to ON, sound will usually be output from the built-in speaker. In the
following cases, however, sound will not be output even when set to ON.
When recording and in recording standby (video/audio)

When headphones or another device is connected to the

Connecting monitors and headphones
To listen with headphones or an external monitoring system (powered
monitor speakers or an amplifier and speakers), connect them to the
/LINE
OUT
jack.
