Options and accessories
Form settings (Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista/Windows 7/2008)
If you want to set up a form not included in the Windows default settings, proceed
as follows.
You will need Administrator rights to define new forms.

Click on the
Start
button in the Windows taskbar.

Click on
Printers and Faxes
to open the printer folder.

In the menu bar, click on
File
and
Server Properties
.

In the window
Printer Server Properties
, click on
Form
if necessary.

Either select an existing form from the
Forms
list or activate the option
New
Form
.

Enter a form name and the desired values.

Click on
Save
to save the new form.
You can now assign this form to the paper feeds of your printer (see Changing
printer settings).
The form cannot be assigned if its dimensions exceed the permissible
paper sizes of the specified paper feed.
Loading optional firmware
If you download new firmware as described below, all menu settings except
the settings for the transmission speed of the Ethernet interface and the IP
address administration will be overwritten. For this reason you should print
a menu dump in or to be able to reestablish the previous settings if
necessary (see
Printing out menu configurations (Print)
).
The most current version of the firmware can be downloaded from our
page.
Loading the Firmware will be possible via the following
ports in ONLINE Mode:
via USB (PrintFile)
For doing so you will need an additional application
alledem "Print File" which can be downloaded as
freeware from
via Ethernet (WebPanel)
Via Webpanel the according download pages will be available for doing this in a
comfortable way.
via Parallel CTX (copy/b) – only if the combi interface is installed
For doing this please open command prompt under Windows and enter
“Copy/b x\path\DOWNLOAD.MOT PRN”.
