4.4.1 Facing of notes
Place a bundle of single denomination notes on the feed hopper. The machine
will start, count, and authenticate the notes. It will also separate them into stacker
pocket 1 and stacker pocket 2. You will see that all the notes in stacker pocket 1
will have the same face, and all the notes in stacker pocket 2 will have the other
face of the note. The display will show the notes in stacker pocket 2 on line one of
the display as CULL. Providing the stacker pocket 2 indicator lights shows a solid
green when the notes have been processed, you can press the ADD (F3) key to
add the authenticated notes to that count. This will be been done automatically if
you have selected AUTO- ADD CULLS in the configuration option.
Note: If the DENOM process has also been selected and if an authentic note of a
different denomination is in stacker pocket 2, it will be shown on the display as
CULL, but the indicator light will flash green. If you wish you can add it to that
count.
Pick up the notes from each stacker pocket and put the same faces together.
The face may be correct but the orientation of the face may be wrong. This may
be rectified later in another process.
Any unrecognised notes in the facing process will be automatically put into
stacker pocket 2 with the authenticated notes. If an unrecognised note does
appear in stacker pocket 2, then the indicator light will show a solid red. Stacker
pocket 1 should have a green light for a correct authenticated count.
Note: A flashing red light would indicate a suspect counterfeit note.
