7 Maintenance and Care
7.1 General notes
The good operating condition and life expectancy
of machines are largely influenced by care and
maintenance.
For this reason, it is in every machine owner’s
interest to perform the specified maintenance work
and comply with the service intervals. This chapter
deals in detail with periodic maintenance,
inspection and lubricating tasks.
The type-specific maintenance and inspection plan
lists all work to be performed on the machine at
regular intervals. Maintenance and inspection
plans for this purpose are contained in every
Instruction Book.
It is essential that the recommendations in
chapter 2 "Safety and Accident Prevention",
are observed.
