Fuel tank Diesel fuel
To maintain the performance and service life of the
engine, always use clean and high-quality fuel.

To avoid freezing in cold climates, use a diesel
fuel that still functions when the temperature is
at least 12°C below the lowest expected ambient
temperature.

Use a diesel fuel that has a cetane number of 45 or
higher. When operating at a very low temperature
or at a high altitude, a higher cetane number fuel
will be required.

Use fuel with sulfur content of less than 0.05 to
0.0015% by volume. Especially in the U.S.A. and
Canada, ultra-low sulfur fuel should be used.
A higher sulfur content fuel may cause sulfuric
acid corrosion in the cylinders of the engines.

Never mix kerosene, used engine oil, or residual
fuels with the diesel fuel.

Poor quality fuel can reduce engine performance
and / or cause engine damage.

Fuel additives are not recommended. Some fuel
additives may cause poor engine performance.
