6.1.3 Configuration and operation
When installation and connection are finished and prior
to the meeting, HCS-8600MIO Audio Input & Output
Device should be configured by front panel menu
operation.
In this section, we take the HCS-8600MIO/16AD as an
example to introduce its menu operation.
A) Initialization
B) LCD initial interface operation
The initial LCD interface is determined by the working
mode of the audio input & output device and the working
mode of Extension 1 interface.
a. SI Mode:
1) Extension 1 - PC Mode
Type SI Mode (IN, OUT, I/O)
IP address Web or DCS connected
2) Extension 1 - DCS Mode
Type SI Mode (IN, OUT, I/O)
Name Web or DCS connected
Note: the device name can be changed through the web
page or Audio MU setting on DCS.
b. Booth Comb. Mode:
Type Booth Comb. Mode
IP: IP address of HCS-8600MIO;
sIP: IP address of booth managerment software
C) Main menu
Press the function knob to go to the main menu, includes
the following submenu items:
“Net Work” (Extension 1 port - PC mode)
“System Mode”
“Work Mode”
“Extension 1 Port”
“About Dante”
“Screensaver”
“Power Mode”
“About”
“Return”
Under the initial LCD interface

Press the function knob to enter the menu setting
interface;

Rotate the function knob to traverse the menu items.
6.1.3.1 Network Setting
“Network” includes submenus:
“IP Address”
“Subnet Mask”
“Gateway”
“DHCP”
“Return”
a). Setup IP Address:
1) Select “IP Address” and press the function knob to go
to setup IP address interface;
2) Rotate function knob to switch between the four
numbers;
