Using batteries

The COMET comes with a Li-ion battery pack. For sys-
tems that may be left turned on while inactive, battery
life is greatly increased by setting the system to turn off
the backlight. The procedure for turning off the backlight
is described on page 73.

Installing the battery

To install the battery:

1.

Install the COMET Lithium-Ion battery into the battery
bay, which is located on the back edge of the COMET.
Push it in until you hear it click into place. Slide the battery
lock button to the left (as indicated by the arrow below) to
lock the battery securely in place.
