Powering up
The following steps outline the process for powering
your COMET system up.
1. Turn on your COMET with the
Power
switch which is
above the top right part of the keyboard as shown in the
figure below, making sure the COMET is connected to
your Sun Ray Server

2. COMET will first attempt to locate servers using the
Ethernet port, and then if none are found - and if wireless
networking is enabled - it will look for servers using the
wireless network.
3. Enter your username and password to log on to the server.
NOTE:
Once logged in, you will see the desktop environ-
ment supported by the server you’re connected to.
