Tighten connecting screw
When using a 13 mm –15 mm nail,
place the Standard Locking Sleeve
over the proximal nail end before
attaching instruments.
Standard Locking
Assemble the
insertion instruments
Insert the appropriate connecting
screw into the insertion handle.
Couple the handle to the nail
so the handle orients laterally
(convex side of the nail bow
faces anteriorly).
For solid nails:
Use Connecting Screw [357.54].
Use the ratchet wrench to secure
the connecting screw to the nail.
For cannulated nails:
Use Cannulated Connecting
Screw [357.512]. Use the Ball
Hexagonal Screwdriver to secure
the connecting screw.
Do not attach the Standard
Aiming Arm to the handle until
the nail is fully inserted. It can
loosen during nail insertion.
