Preface
Thank you very much for purchasing Synchrotech products. The
PCM-CR-S2x can be connected to various makes of personal
computers to read and write PC cards (PCMCIA/JEIDA
specifications). The data recorded on a PC card with a digital
camera can thus be directly read into a personal computer. Please
read these instructions carefully before use.
Connects via the SCSI bus, the standard interface for personal
computers.
Of the standard PCMCIA/JEIDA cards, ATA cards, SRAM,
Compact Flash (with an adapter) and Smart Media may be used.
The features of this product include:
Can be connected to Macintosh, IBM PC/AT compatible
computers, running Dos, Windows 3.x, Windows 98 and
Windows NT.
Can be used with Solaris, Sun Sparc, Sun Ultra Sparc, Digital
Unix, VMS, AIX, HP and Linux, although Synchrotech does not
offer Unix technical support help, due to the wide variety of Unix
systems. It is assumed that users of Unix understand their
operating environment and are knowledgeable about mounting
SCSI devices. Please look to our web pages for information and
