Host Character Time-out
Parameter # EFh
This parameter determines the maximum time the decoder waits between characters
transmitted by the host before discarding the received data and declaring an error. The
time-out is set in 0.01 second increments from 0.01 seconds to 0.99 seconds. After
scanning the bar code below, scan two bar codes beginning on
page 9-134 to set the
desired time-out. If you make an error, or wish to change your selection, scan the Cancel
bar code on page 9-136 .

Event Reporting
The host can request the decoder to provide certain information (events) relative to the
decoder’s behavior. The events listed in
Table 9-4 and on the following pages can be
enabled or disabled by scanning the appropriate bar codes. Parameter number format for
these parameters follows those shown in the
Simple Serial Interface (SSI) Programmer’s
Guide for parameters numbered 256 or higher.
