Turning on the Auto Answer feature
If you are talking on Line 1 and a call
comes in while the
Auto Answer
feature is on, a checkmark appears
beside the
Auto Answer menu option.
You may place the first call on hold
and answer the second call.
If the vibrator alert is on and a call
comes in on the second line while
you are talking on the first line, the
telephone will vibrate to alert you to
the second call.
Follow the instructions below to set the PTC-1800 to
answer incoming calls automatically (without you
having to press the Send key).
1. At the Home screen, press the SK1 key. The
Main Menu displays (see Figure 6).
2. Press the Down arrow key until Settings is
highlighted.
3. Press the Send key.
4. Press the Down arrow key until Auto Answer is
highlighted.
5. Press the Send key. The Auto Answer menu
option will now be checked in the Settings Menu,
and the PTC-1800 will automatically answer
incoming calls.
Turning off the Auto Answer feature
To turn off the PTC-1800's Auto Answer feature,
follow the instructions in the “Turning on the Auto
Answer feature” section above. After you press the
Send key, the Auto Answer menu option will no longer
be checked in the Settings Menu, and the PTC-1800
will not automatically answer incoming calls.
