Downloading a license file
Versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition before 12.1
required that you manually download license files in certain cases. Starting with
version 12.1, you do not need to manually download a license file. Symantec
Endpoint Protection Manager creates a copy of the license file and the recovery
file. The default path to the license file is

Licensing enforcement rules
Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition licenses are enforced
according to the following rules:

of activation until midnight of the last day of the
licensing term. Time and date for license
expiration is based in the time and date for the
Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager where
activation takes place. In the case of multiple
sites, the date of license expiration is based on
the westernmost Symantec Endpoint Protection
Manager database.
