Place the camera in the desired position and lock it via screws in the wall
bracket.
The camera should not be pointed directly at bright sources of light or the
sun, since the image will be overdriven by this.
Connection
The camera is equipped with a connection cable with two connectors at
the end:
• BNC connector: With this the video signal (PAL) is available. Use an adapter
if you do not have a BNC cable for this connection.
• Circular bush: At this socket the external power supply is to be connected.
Make sure that you use only a stabilised power supply unit with an output
voltage of 12 V/DC (direct current) (see chapter "Technical Data" at the end of
the operating manual).
Pay attention to the correct polarity of the connector for the power
supply (inner contact = plus/+, outer contact = minus/-), otherwise
the camera will be damaged; loss of warranty!
If you install and use the camera in outdoor areas, the two connec-
tors may only be placed in a location that is protected from humidity
(in dry interior areas). Otherwise, the connectors will corrode.
Set the correct input channel at the display device to display the camera
image.
Afterwards, adjust the camera in a precise manner in order to be able to
monitor the desired image section.
In darkness the IR LEDs are automatically activated. However, the LEDs are
not visible to the human eye. Please bear in mind that at night coloured im-
age reproduction changes into black and white monochrome representation.
Adjusting zoom, focus the image
The camera is equiped with a manually adjustable zoom objectiv, it is also
possible to focus the image.
At the back side of the colour camera you will
fi
nd two
fi
nger screws with
rubber seal, which protect the real adjustment controller for penetration of
humidity.
Unscrew the respective
fi
nger screws (rotate counter clockwise).
Using the adjustment controller "ZOOM" you can adjust the desired zoom
area; with the adjustment controller "FOCUS" you can focus and sharpen
the image. Use een
fl
at screwdriver for the adjustment of small surfaces.
Do not exert any force during adjustment!
After performing the adjustment, carefully screw the
fi
nger screws tight
again, so no humidity can penetrate in the colour camera.
Cleaning
Occasionally clean the camera from dust and dirt, especially the front lens.
Use a dry, clean and soft cloth, moistened with water. Do not rub too much
to avoid scratch marks on the glass lens, deteriorating the image quality.
Never point the water jet of a garden hose or a high pressure cleaner at the
camera; do not use aggressive cleaning agents either.

Tips and guidelines
• Do not operate the camera outdoors without using the sun screen cover,
since this will cause overheating and damage of the camera.
• Install the camera so that it can not be reached without using auxiliary
means.
The same applies to the connection cables. Ideally, they should be in-
stalled using a plastic or metal pipe.
• Depending on the mounting location, make sure you use the suitable
lightning protector (e.g. installation on a pole).
• Increased cable lengths result in deterioration of the video signal. In this
case, use an appropriate ampli
fi
er.
If the cable used to supply the power is too long, the voltage will drop
and thus, the operating voltage for the camera is no longer suf
fi
cient. This
may lead to stripes in the image or to a signal loss. If necessary, use a
cable with a larger cross-section to reduce the voltage drop.
Disposal
Electrical and electronic products do not belong in the household
waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, accord-
ing to the current statutory requirements.
