so the clutch lever has 10 – 15 mm (0.4 – 0.6
in) play at the clutch lever end before pressure is felt.
• Tighten lock-nut

THROTTLE CABLE
Adjust the throttle cable play as follows:
• Loosen lock-nut

• Turn adjuster

so the throttle grip has 2 – 4 mm (0.08 – 0.16
in) play in circumference.
• Tighten lock-nut

Throttle cable play: 2 – 4 mm (0.08 – 0.16 in)
• Remove the throttle housing cover.
• Apply oil to the throttle cable.
• Apply grease to the throttle cable spool.
FUEL HOSE
• Inspect the fuel hose for damage and fuel leakage. If any
defects are found, the fuel hose must be replaced with a new
one.
• Replace the fuel hose every four years.

WARNING
Inadequate throttle cable play can cause engine speed
to rise suddenly when you turn the handlebars. This
can lead to loss of rider control.
Adjust the throttle cable play so that engine speed
does not rise due to handlebar movement.
