OPEN INSPECTION DOORS
The cylinder is always stopped so that the inner inspection doors on the cylinder are in position inside
the outer inspection doors.
1. Inspection door on hood.
2. Magnetic limit switch on inspection door.
3. Magnetic limit switch on hood.
4. Lock on inspection door on hood.
5. Inspection door on cylinder.
6. Holder for inspection door on cylinder.
7. Toggle fastener.
8. Cotter pin.
Through the inspection door it is possible to measure temperature, remove misplaced material and to
see and smell the material in order to make sure the process is working properly.

Use the squared pin key to open the inspection door on the hood. Do not use
any other tools or keys as this may damage the locking mechanism.
Remove the cotter pin locking the toggle fastener and unlock the door (item 7 in
above drawing). Remove the inspection door on the cylinder by lifting it carefully
from the holders welded onto the cylinder (item 6.)

When replacing the inspection door on the cylinder make sure the cotter pin
is locking the toggle fastener properly! If the inspection door on the cylinder
falls off the cylinder can still rotate and material come out from the cylinder.

Do not use padlocks locking to inspection door on the cylinder since they might be too big
damaging the insulation on the hood when cylinder is rotating.

Make sure the inspection door is properly closed and that the magnetic limit switch is connected.
If the inspection doors are not closed the cylinder will not rotate.
