Type
This option allows the user to select the type of an IDE/SATA device. Select
Auto
to allow the BIOS to automatically confi gure the parameters of the IDE/
SATA device installed on a slot. Enter a number between 1 to 39 to select a
predetermined IDE/SATA device. Select User to allow the user to enter the
parameters of a HDD/SATA device installed. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive
is installed. Select ATAPI if a removable disk drive is installed.
CHS Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
TYPE:
This item displays the type of IDE drive.
Cylinders:
This item indicates the number of cylinders detected by the
BIOS.
Headers:
This item indicates the number of headers.
Sectors:
This item displays the number of sectors.
Maximum Capacity:
This item displays the maximum storage capacity in the
CHS Format.
LBA Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
Total Sectors:
This item displays the number of total sectors available in the
LBA Format.
Maximum Capacity:
This item displays the maximum capacity in the LBA
Format.
Multi-Sector Transfers
This item allows the user to specify the number of sectors per block to be
used in multi-sector transfer. The options are
Disabled
, 4 Sectors, 8 Sectors,
and 16 Sectors.
LBA Mode Control
This item determines whether the Phoenix BIOS will access a IDE Device via
the LBA mode. The options are Enabled and
Disabled.
32 Bit I/O
This option allows the user to enable or disable the function of 32-bit data
transfer. The options are Enabled and
Disabled
.
