Jumper Settings
Explanation of
Jumpers
To modify the operation of the moth-
erboard, jumpers can be used to
choose between optional settings.
Jumpers create shorts between two
pins to change the function of the
connector. Pin 1 is identified with a
square solder pad on the printed cir-
cuit board. See the motherboard
layout pages for jumper locations.

Pin 1-2 short
Rambus Bus Speed
The Rambus speed is set with JP2
and JP2A1. Table 2-16 displays
the settings for these two jump-
ers. The CPU speed can also be
changed by software control in
BIOS (see CPU Speed setting).
The CPU Speed setting will show
you the actual CPU speed for each
FSB speed option selected.
