No Power
1.
Make sure the default jumper is on and CPU is correctly setup.
2.
Turn power switch on and off to test system.
3.
If moving jumper setting has not helped: Clear CMOS.
4.
Check power supply voltage monitor. (Check power supply 115V/230V
switch)
No Video
Use the following steps for troubleshooting your system configuration.
1.
If the power is on but you have no video, remove all the add-in cards
and cables.
2.
Check for shorted connections, especially under the motherboard.
3.
Check the jumpers settings, clock speed, and voltage settings.
4.
Use the speaker to determine if any beep codes exist. Refer to
Appendix A for details about beep codes.
NOTE
If you are a system integrator, VAR or OEM, a POST
diagnostics card is recommended for port 80h codes.
Refer to Appendix B.
Memory Error
If you encounter memory error, follow the procedures below.
1.
Check to determine if DIM modules are improperly installed.
2.
Make sure that different types of DIMMs have not been installed in
different banks (e.g., a mixture of 2MB x 36 and 1 MB x 36 DIMMs in
Banks 0).
3.
Determine if different speeds of DIMMs have been installed, and the
BIOS setup is configured for the fastest speed of RAM used. It is
recommended to use the same RAM speed for DIMMs in the system.
4.
Check for bad DIM modules or chips.
5.
Try to install the minimum memory first (single bank).
