About This Manual
This manual is written for professional system integrators and PC technicians. It
provides information for the installation and use of the SuperServer 5018D-MTLN4F.
Installation and maintenance should be performed by experienced technicians only.
The SuperServer 5018D-MTLN4F is a high-end server based on the SC813MTQ-
350CB 1U rackmount chassis and the Super -LN4F single processor
motherboard.

Chapter 1: Introduction
The first chapter provides a checklist of the main components included with the
server system and describes the main features of the -LN4F motherboard
and the SC813MTQ-350CB chassis.
Chapter 2: Server Installation
This chapter describes the steps necessary to install the SuperServer 5018D-
MTLN4F into a rack and check out the server configuration prior to powering up the
system. If your server was ordered without processor and memory components, this
chapter will refer you to the appropriate sections of the manual for their installation.
