Flooded separator compartment: Material build-up on or around float
ball.
Remove any material accumulation.
Float Corroded not longer floats Replace float.
No hydraulic oil pressure: Hydraulic pump not engaged. Engage.
Oil flow diverted to auxiliary pump. Shaft hydraulic directional control
valve on passenger side behind
cabinet.
Low oil level in hydraulic reservoir. Add oil as required.
Oil pump suction line plugged or
hose liner collapsed. (Very Rare)
Repair or replace as required.
Hydraulic pump will not engage: Chassis air pressure too low. Run engine until air pressure
reaches 100 psi.
Hydraulic Malfunction - Boom and
body functions. The boom and body
functions are controlled by an
electric actuated hydraulic manifold
on the passenger side of the truck.
Hydraulic valve fouling on dirt. Shift the hydraulic cartridge valve
using the manual override. This may
free the fouled valve. A dirty
cartridge valve may need to be
cleaned or replaced. Change the
hydraulic filter.
Weak or failed solenoid coil. If the function works with manual
override, and the LED light on the
coil connector lights up, then the
solenoid coil may need replacing.
Electrical malfunction. If at least one
of the electric switches makes the
function work properly, then the root
cause is not hydraulic.

Hydraulic oil foamy or milky. Air in hydraulic oil tank. Inspect suction hose and fittings
from hydraulic oil tank to pump for
air leak.
Water in oil Drain all oil in system, replace oil
and oil filter. Inspect or replace
hydraulic reservoir fill cap.
Leaking tailgate. Tailgate unlatched. Latch tailgate.
Damaged gasket. Replace gasket.
Dirt around gasket or mating surface
on tailgate.
Clean gasket and mating surface or
tailgate.
Damaged gasket retainer or tailgate
surface.
Repair or replace
