Safety cut-outs
To safeguard the electrical systems
there are safety cutouts built into
your wheelchair. The control battery
box (Fig.12) cutouts are located
to the rear of the battery box along
side the electrical power socket.
The 15 amp controls the charging
circuit and the 70 amp the battery
power circuit. In the event of an
electrical fault the cutout button
will extend out isolating the circuit.
Depress button after a short period
to resume. Protection for your motors
is integrated within the programme
control box and will decrease the
power automatically. This operates
in extreme conditions, repetitive
steep hill climbing in high ambient
temperatures. Contact your Sunrise
Medical dealer if faults re-occur.

Adjustment of optima backrest
(where fitted)
To change the shape and/or
tension of the ‘Optima’ backrest,
remove the padded cover from the
rear of the backrest and expose the
tension straps (Fig. 11). Loosen or
tighten the straps to suit. (The most
comfortable and supportive position
is achieved with the wheelchair
user seated in the chair). Ensure
the straps are securely fastened
and replace the padded cover prior
to use.
