Using your wheelchair
Emergency freewheel
This is a mechanism which enables
the drive to be disconnected in the
event of battery or other failure.
Turn drive levers away from the
wheels, to disengage the drive
from the motors. Use only in an
emergency, or if your wheelchair
needs to be moved manually.
To engage drive rotate the levers
on the rear of the gearboxes
towards drive wheels. Engage drive
before parking your powerchair
(Fig.13).

It is not intended for permanent
use.
REMEMBER:
The chairs automatic braking
system will not work unless the
handles on both gearboxes are
engaged.
