Servicing the Service Processor

Install the Service Processor

1. Install the service processor by completing the following tasks.

a. Lower the side of the service processor with the

Align Tab

sticker at an

angle down on the service processor tab on the motherboard.

b. Press the service processor straight down until it is fully seated in its socket.

2. Return the server to an operational condition:

a. Install the top cover.

b. Return the server to the normal rack position.

c. Reinstall the power cords to the power supplies.
