Opening the Workstation

Before you proceed, turn off your system and all of the peripherals

4.3.1

Removing the Access Panel

The left-side access panel must be removed to gain access to the system’s internal 
components. See 

FIGURE

 

4-1

 when performing this procedure.

1. Turn off the system and all of the peripherals connected to it. 

2. Loosen the two captive thumbscrews located on the edge of the left-side panel 

closest to the rear panel (1). 

3. Slide the panel towards the rear of the workstation (2). Tilt the top edge of the 

panel out (3) and then up (4) to remove it from the chassis.
