Gear
The design structure of the gear with planetary stages allows a block adjustment to be additionally fitted for single
contact adjustment from gear size 2. The final gear stage is therefore equipped with a black adjustment worm.
All cam discs are adjusted together using this adjustment worm block adjustment (1). As such the relative
adjustment of the single contacts to each other remains unchanged.
When rotating the black adjustment worm by one revolution (360°), the cam discs rotate to the right by 0.575°
(view from the B-side of the GCLS).
NOTE
Using a DZ gearbox reduces the rotation of the cam discs to 0.04° per revolution of the block
adjustment worm. Therefore, the effectiveness of the block adjustment is virtually non-existent in
connection with DZ gearboxes. However, the block adjustment is still installed with DZ gearboxes (as
of gearbox size 2) due to the kit logic.
