Problem What to Check

When check is not OK, refer to this column
E = 0X is displayed. Fault condition exists. Determine fault correction from Electrical.
Pump output is low Spray tip worn. Follow Pressure Relief Procedure, then
replace tip. See separate gun or tip manual.
Spray tip clogged. Relieve pressure. Check and clean spray tip.
Paint bucket is empty, device draws in air. Refill and reprime bucket.
Intake strainer clogged. Remove and clean, replace if necessary.
Intake valve in the intake valve housing and
the outlet valve in the piston are not sealed
or are stuck. Possibly due to soiled point or
dried paint residues due to poor cleaning.
Remove intake valve and clean. Check balls
and seats for nicks; replace if necessary.
Strain paint before using to remove parti-
cles; thoroughly clean device after use.
Device or piston filter is clogged or dirty. Clean filter.
Circulation valve is leaky, device will not
switch off.
Follow Pressure Relief Procedure, then
replace valve.
Leak in the packing nuts area; this may indi-
cate worn or damaged seals.
Retighten the packing nut as well as possi-
ble until the leakage stops. If it cannot be
tightened, replace the paint level.
Piston damaged. Replace pump.
Low stall pressure. Device will not reach
the set pressure and switches off too early.
Turn pressure knob fully clockwise. Make
sure pressure control knob is properly instal-
led to allow full clockwise position. If pro-
blem persists, replace pressure sensor.
Piston seals are worn or damaged Replace paint level.
1. Follow Pressure Relief Procedure, before checking
or repairing.
2. Check all possible problems and causes before
disassembling the unit.
