Other Useful Information (Cont.)

Cleaning the filters

•  Remove any larger food remnants from the main filter and clean it under running water.

For a more thorough clean, use a soft cleaning brush to clean the coarse filter and
the fine filter.

•  Reassemble the filter parts as illustrated opposite (Fig. 19) and reinsert the entire

assembly in the dishwasher, positioning it in its seat and pressing downward.

Cleaning the spray arms

The spray arms should be cleaned regularly to
prevent clogging of the jets and bearings due to
limescale or other hard water chemicals.
•

First remove the upper spray arm, as
illustrated (Fig. 21): hold the nut and rotate
the arm to remove it. To remove the lower
spray arm, pull it upwards, as illustrated.

•

Wash both spray arms in soapy, warm
water and use a soft brush to clean the jets.
Replace the spray arms after rinsing them
thoroughly.

CAUTION!

•  To prevent penetration of water into the door lock and electrical components, do

not use a spray cleaner of any kind.

•  Never use sharp objects, harsh or abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on any

dishwasher surface because they will scratch the finish. Some papers towels
may also scratch or leave marks on the surface.

Fig. 21

WARNING!

•

When cleaning the filters take care not to contort their shape, which could
compromise the washing performance.

•

Do not overtighten the filters. Put the filters back in sequence securely,
otherwise coarse debris could get into the system and cause a blockage.

•

Never use the dishwasher without the filters. Improper replacement of the filters
may reduce the washing performance and damage dishes and utensils.

Cleaning the housing

•  Clean the door seals regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove food deposits.
•  When the dishwasher is being loaded, food and drink residues may drip onto the

sides of the dishwasher door. These surfaces are outside the wash cabinet and are
not accessed by water from the spray arms. It is therefore important that you wipe off
any deposits before you close the door.

•  Wipe the control panel with a soft, damp cloth only and dry thoroughly afterwards.
