Before pushing home the
externally splined shaft, check
that the snap ring is in good
condition and properly seated in
the groove.

Push the drive shaft (1) with
circlip into the inner drive tube
from the engine end.

– The telescopic drive tube must be
completely compressed to
simplify installation.

Push the drive shaft (1) with
flexible liner (2) and ring into the
drive tube as far as stop. When
pushing it home, turn the shaft

back and forth so that the circlip
does not get stuck on the stop or
mounting rivet.
Do not use force
to push the shaft into its end
position. Only the square end
should be visible.

Push the drive shaft (1) into the
outer drive tube until dimension
“a” is 11 mm.

Make sure the drive shaft is not
pushed out when pushing home the
externally splined shaft.
– Before fitting the clamp (1),
check correct installed position of
the externally splined shaft and
the drive shaft.

Push the clamp (1) onto the end
of the inner drive tube.

Tighten down the screws (2)

Tighten down the star nut (3).
Install all other parts in the reverse
sequence.
