Carefully pull the flexible liner (2)
and drive shaft (1) out of the inner
drive tube together with the
driver (3). If the drive shaft cannot
be pulled out completely,
do not
use excessive force . In such a
case, rotate the drive shaft slowly
and carefully until it can be pulled

Check condition of driver (1),
internally splined shaft (2),
circlip (3), ring (4) and flexible
liner (5) and replace as
necessary.
:
Make sure the 15x1 circlip (3) is
properly seated in the groove.

– Inspect bearing of inner drive
tube and clean or replace if
necessary.
:
Remove the blind rivet (1) and
pull off the bearing (2).

The holes in the bearing (2) and
the drive tube (3) must be in
alignment.
:
Secure the bearing (2) with an
original STIHL blind rivet (1)

:
Mark the engine end of the
handle hose on the drive tube.
– Remove the engine with fan
housing from the drive tube,
