Luminex Captioner/Student User Guide

Appendix B Captioner/Student Edition Utilities

1. Turn your Luminex Captioner/Student Edition On. At the Opening menu, touch 

Memory

.

2. Use the 

Down

 sensor to highlight the Support Info Files folder and then touch 

Folder

.

3. Use the Down/Up sensors to highlight the current folder. Folders are named year followed

by month (2018/08 indicates August of 2018).

4. Turn your computer On. Ensure that it is fully booted. 

5. Connect the appropriate end of the USB cable to the USB port on the Luminex

Captioner/Student Edition and the other end to a USB port on your computer.

6. Navigate to the location where you installed the Stenograph Utility files. At the Stenograph

Writer Utility dialog box, click the Writer Utilities, Splash Loader and more option, double
click the Utilities and Splash Photos folder and then double click the GetSupportInfo.exe.
The GetSupportInfo dialog box displays.

7. You need to specific a location for the log files to be copied to your computer. In the

GetSupportInfo dialog box, either click the Browse button to navigate to a location to save
the log files or type a location. To copy the files from your Luminex Captioner/Student
Edition to the computer, click 

Read

.

8. When the files have been copied, the Reading Support Info Files Complete dialog box

displays. Click 

OK

 and follow the instructions you received from the Stenograph Technical

Support Representative.
