Turn on the scale with the main I / O switch located
on the right side of the device.
4.
After the scale is turned on, it will automatically go
into weighing mode and displaying zeros.
5.
When all displays show zeros, the device is ready for
operation.
3.3. DEVICE USE
NOTE:
Before using the device, make sure that it is properly
levelled
SCALE AND BUTTON FUNCTIONS
1.
ZERO / B.L. is used for resetting the scale and for
backlight.
a)
To turn the display backlight on or off, press and hold
the [ZERO / BL] button for a few seconds.
b)
Resetting:
• Place a weight on the balance.
• Press the [ZERO / B.L.] button to zero the
measurement value.

Tare acquisition
• Place a weight on the weighing pan.
• Wait a moment until the device stabilizes.
• Press the [TARE] button, the display will show
„0“ and the tare symbol (-T-) will be highlighted.
After removing the weight, the display will show
a negative value.
• Press the [TARE] button again to end tare
acquisition.
3.
CLEAR/MC –
• Press this button during weighing to delete the
unit price. After checking the cumulative data,
the current data will be cleared.
• Press this button during weighing for about 3
seconds. This will delete all the cumulative data.
4. MR
• Press this button to read the unit weight, unit
price and the amount (up to 18 times).
5.
STORE / CHG (store / change). Calculation / cash
change function.
• Remembering the unit price:
Enter the unit price using the numeric keys 0 to
9 (on the control panel), press the [Store / Chg]
button, then the [Mx] button (where x = 1 to 7).
The unit price will be saved (if another unit price
was already stored under the Mx button, it will
be replaced by the new price).
• Calculating the cash change
a) To calculate the change, press the STORE / CHG
button during weighing.
b) The „WEIGHT“ display will display the CH9
message, indicating transition to the change
calculation mode.
c) Use the numeric keys from 0 to 9 to enter the
amount on which the cash change is to be
calculated. The entered value will be displayed
on the „UNIT PRICE“ display.
d) The calculated change will be displayed on the
„TOTAL PRICE“ display.

The M1-M7 keys are for remembering the unit price.

+ - Addition function
• With the „+“ button you can add a value to get
the total value without further weighing.
For example: the current total value is 10.00. If
the value being added is 20.00, enter 20 with the
number keys, then press the „+“ button. The new
total value will be displayed: 30.00.

3.2. PREPARING FOR USE
APPLIANCE LOCATION
The temperature of environment must not be higher than
40°C and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
The device should always be used when positioned on an
even, stable, clean, fireproof and dry surface, and be out
of the reach of children and persons with limited mental
and sensory functions. The power cord connected to the
appliance must be properly grounded and correspond to
the technical details on the product label.
INSTALLATION OF THE DEVICE
1.
Pass the signal cable through the head column and
secure its end so that it does not fall inside.
2.
Mount the head column on the back part of the
scale.
3.
Plug the signal cable into the display panel.
4.
Mount the display panel on the column.
5.
Place the weighing pan on the device.
6.
Place the device on a flat, horizontal surface. Adjust
the height of the 4 feet on the bottom of the device
by tightening them. When the air bubble of the level
is in the centre of the circle, the device is level.
CONNECTING THE DEVICE TO THE POWER SUPPLY
1.
Before turning the device on, remove the load from
the pan.
2.
Connect the scale‘s power cord to the power supply.

3.4 DATA TRANSFER SETTINGS (SBS-PW-305C)
To enter the settings mode:
When the scale indicates zero, press the buttons: [1] [5] [8]
[8] [8] + [TARE].

Press the [M2] button in setup mode.

The WEIGHT window will display the band frequency value.
To change the band frequency value, press the [M2] button.
The available frequency values are 2400/4800/9600/19200.
Press the [TARE] button to save and return to the settings or
press [ZERO] to discard the changes and exit the settings.
3.4.1.2. UART TRANSMISSION METHODS
Press the [M3] button in the setup mode.

The WEIGHT window will display the data transmission
method. To change the transmission method, press the
[M3] button.
The available methods are Stb/Etb/Ser/CLOSE.

Stb: Transmission after weight stabilization
•
Etb: Transmission after the UART receives the <PWI>
command (ASCII code).
•
Ser: Continuous transmission
•
CLOSE: UART closed
Press the [TARE] button to save and return to the settings or
press [ZERO] to discard the changes and exit the settings.
3.4.1.3. TYPES OF DATA SENT USING UART
Press the [M4] key in setup mode. The display window will
show:

The WEIGHT window will show the mode name related to
the data set being transferred. To change the type of data
set to be transmitted, press the [M4] button.
The available data sets are specified as: 1 Line/ 3 Line.

1 Line: transmits only „WEIGHT“ values;
•
3 Line: transmits „WEIGHT“, „UNIT PRICE“ and „TOTAL
PRICE“ values (weight, unit price and total price).
3.4.1.4. SETTING THE UART RECEIVE COMMAND
Press the [M5] key in the setting mode. The display window
will show:

The WEIGHT window will show the receive command. To
change the receive command method, press the [M5] key.
The available options are: P/W/I (capital letter).

P: Send data with the „P“ command.
