This working perimeter is 15 metres and this is a dangerous
zone.
Never use the machine when on top of a ladder, in a tree
or in any other unstable surface.
When moving from one working area to the next, turn off
the engine.
Never let the machine unattended.
Never touch elements that can be hot during the start up
or operating the machine, for example, the escape, sparks
or high voltage cables.
Do not use any accessories that are not originals and that
have not been recommended by the manufacturer.
Use of other accessories can cause accidents and can be
dangerous for the end user and those nearby as well as
causing damages to the machine.
Always follow the security rules that we indicate in the
manual.
Be careful when cutting small branches. These can get
tangled with the blade and can be propelled unexpectedly
towards you causing probable loss of equilibrium.
4.2.Tuning operations
CHECKING POINTS PRIOR TO USING THE MACHINE
Do not use the machine if it is damaged or not well
regulated.
Use this machine to do jobs for which it has been designed.
Any other use could be dangerous to the end user, for the
machine and to other people, animals and things that are
nearby.
Verify that :
- The machine completely and look for loose parts
(screws, nuts, etc.) and damages.
- Ensure that the protector is well fixed to the machine.
- There are not fuel leaks.
- Check the air filter is clean. Clean the filter if necessary.
Press, repair or replace everything you need before using
the machine.
Tighten, repair or replace parts that you find to be in a bad
state.
Do not use attachments on this machine out of our
recommendations because their use may cause serious
injury to the user, the machine and the people, animals
and things close to the machine.
Before start up, remove the security blade protector from
the blade.
Before start up, ensure that all moving parts are not in
contact with any object.
POSITION OF THE HANDLE
Pull handle 16 in order to - 90º the handle for work
convenience.
START UP
Follow the instructions of cold or hot start up depending on
the state of the machine.
START UP IN COLD
Place the machine on a flat, stable surface to start it.
Press the primer bulb several times (7 to 10 times) until
the fuel reaches the carburetor.
Put the air lever in the
CLOSE
close position.
Hold the machine firmly in place by the handle so that
when you pull the starting rope the machine does not
move.
Pull The starter rope until you hear the engine start.
If the engine does not start, move the air lever to open and
pull the starter rope until the engine starts.
If the machine starts and does not stop itself, move the air
lever slowly to the
OPEN
open position.
STARTING THE MACHINE FROM HOT
Place the machine on a flat, stable surface to start it.
Place the switch in the ¨I¨ position.
Move the air lever to the normal
OPEN
working position.
Hold the machine firmly in place by the handle so that
when you pull the starting rope the machine does not
move.
Pull the start rope until the machine starts.
If the machine does not start after pulling at the rope a few
times, please refer to the cold start up section.
LOCKING THE TRIGGER
For greater convenience during prolonged work sessions,
press lock button 11 to keep the machine on without
having to press the trigger.
ENGINE STOPPAGE
Let go of the accelerator and let the engine run at idle
speed for a few seconds.
Place the switch in the “O” position. The engine of the
machine will stop and after a few seconds the blades will
stop as well.
After you stop working and turn the machine off, the blades
will carry on moving by inertia for a short while.
