2-8 Warnings and Indications
Besides the viewfinder, speaker and earphones, the
indicators and displays described in this section also
provide you with information such as the operating state of
the camcorder and warnings.
Warning and indication functions
a
Tally indicator
Setting the TALLY switch on the viewfinder to HIGH or
LOW enables this indicator. It lights when the VDR starts
recording. Like the REC indicator in the viewfinder, it also
flashes to provide warnings. The brightness of this
indicator when it is lit can be switched with the TALLY
switch.

DISPLAY switch
This switches the indications on the viewfinder screen on
or off.
ON:
The indications appear on the viewfinder screen.
OFF:
The indications do not appear on the viewfinder
screen.
Note
Setting the MENU ON/OFF switch to ON displays the
menu on the viewfinder screen even if the DISPLAY
switch is set to OFF.

TALLY switch
This switch controls the tally indicator as follows.
HIGH:
The tally indicator brightness is high.
OFF:
The tally indicator is disabled.
LOW:
The tally indicator brightness is low.

Back tally indicator
When the back tally switch is set to ON, this indicator has
the same function as the tally indicator.
