Troubleshooting
If you run into any problems using your camcorder, follow the flow chart below.
• Power sources/LCD screen/Wireless Remote Commander (p. 168)
• Memory cards (p. 170)
• Recording (p. 170)
• Playback (p. 172)
• Connecting to TV (p. 173)
• Copying/Editing/Connecting to other devices (p. 174)
• Connecting to a computer (p. 174)
• ND FILTER dial (p. 174)
The power does not turn on or abruptly turns off.
• Attach a charged battery pack to the camcorder (p. 21).
• Use the AC Adapter to connect the camcorder to a wall outlet (wall socket) (p. 22).
The camcorder does not operate even when the power is set to on.
• Disconnect the power source (battery or AC Adapter), then reconnect it after about 1 minute.
• Check the HOLD switch. Hold state is indicated when an orange portion is visible; release
hold state as required.
The camcorder gets warm.
• Camera body may get warm with use – this is normal.

Disconnect the power source, reconnect the power source after about 1 minute and turn
on your camcorder.

Press the MENU button and select
(SYSTEM)

INITIALIZE.
This operation will reset the date, time and area settings.
