Firewall
Dante Controller automatically configures the required firewall settings of Windows
and macOS during installation for Dante Controller operation.
However, if a third-party firewall application such as McAfee, Trendmicro, or Norton is
used, it is necessary to temporarily disable or configure the firewall application
manually to allow communication by Dante Controller.
IP address
Dante Controller discovers Dante devices on the same segment (same layer 2
network) and shows the list of the discovered devices on the [Device Info] tab.
Dante Controller configures only Dante devices on the same subnet. Dante devices on
the same segment (same layer 2 network) but different subnet cannot be configured.
The name of Dante devices that cannot be configured is displayed in red under [Device
Name] on the [Device Info] tab. They are not displayed on the [Routing] tab.
Set the IP address of the Dante devices and the PC, where Dante Controller is running,
so that they are on the same subnet. For Dante devices, you can change the IP
address acquisition method in [Device View] – [Network Config] of Dante Controller.
