1-10. Ejecting the Cassette Tape Manually
If a cassette tape cannot be ejected or the cassette compart-
ment does not rise up due to some troubles, remove the
cassette tape manually from the unit as follows:

Before performing the following procedure, be sure to turn
off the main power and unplug the power cord from the
unit.
1.
Remove the top panel. (Refer to Section “1-5. Remov-
ing and Reinstalling the Cabinets”.)
2.
Pull the reel brake release lever in the direction of the
arrow, and while pushing the manual eject gear (red)
rotate it counterclockwise until the gear stops rotating
to roll up the tape into the cassette.
When the tape cannot be rolled up, pull the reel brake
release lever and rotate the reel motor driving gear
clockwise to roll up the tape into the cassette.

Rotate the red gear shown below in the direction of the
arrow to raise up the cassette compartment and eject
the cassette tape.
