2-3. Installation of Optional Boards
There are the three installation types of the optional boards
in FDDR-7000 (Multi-channel digital disk recorder).
<Type 1>
The type that the optional board is inserted in
the slot.
<Type 2>
The type that the optional board is connected
onto the connector of the pre-installed board.
<Type 3>
The type that the optional board is connected
onto the connector of the pre-installed board,
and is secured by the DPR bracket and the
screws.
The installation procedures are described below.

Install the optional board. (Refer to the section 2-2.)

Each optional boards must be installed in the
corresponding order. Install each optional boards by
referring to the following table.
If the optional board is installed in an incorrect order, the
system is not activated properly.

VPR-31 board : Install the VPR-31 board in the order of
the slot number 3 and 4.

After checking the installation direction of the optional
board, connect the optional board to the connectors on
the pre-installed board.

When installing the optional board, make sure that the
connectors are connected tightly. If the connectors
cannot be connected completely, the optional board
may be placed in the other way.

Each optional boards must be installed in the
corresponding order. Install each optional boards by
referring to the following table.
If the optional board is installed in an incorrect order, the
system is not activated properly.
