Tip
If you switch to Eraser mode on the toolbar, select a
Handwriting icon to return to handwriting mode.
However, if the stylus button is set to Eraser mode,
just releasing the button will be a convenient way to
return to handwriting mode.
Adjusting the Position of the Stylus
Tip
Adjust positioning if you feel there is a gap between
the stylus tip and the writing that appears on the
screen's surface.

Press the
(Home) button and tap [Settings].

Tap [System Management]
[Pen Settings]
[Advanced Calibration].

Write in the [1. Test Writing Area] and check the
gap.

Tap the arrow buttons in the [2. Adjustment Area]
to adjust the gap. Then tap [OK].
Pen Grip Style
The pen grip style settings are set for right-handed
use by default. Change the pen grip style settings if
you want to use it with the left hand.

Tap [System Management]
[Pen Settings]
[Pen Grip Style].

Choose the style that is closest to the way you
hold your stylus and tap [OK].
Note
If your pen grip style is not appropriate, there may
be a gap between the stylus tip and the written line.
In this case, check the pen grip style settings.
Using PDF Form
The device supports the following PDF form
elements.
Check box

Drop-down list
List box
Text field
Note
Be sure to input text into a PDF form field by tapping
the on-screen item or keyboard with your finger.
You cannot input text or select with the stylus.
If you handwrite in a PDF form field with the stylus,
it is saved as handwriting on the PDF. However it is
not recognized as input text for the PDF. Text
recognition applies only to the content input by
finger operation in a field.

Tap to display the list with your finger.
Text field
Tap to display the text input box and on-screen
keyboard with your finger. Input text using the on-
screen keyboard and tap [Save] to confirm the text
input.
